I think it's a useful concept. There are certain backlashes against secularism that are going too far. We on the right should be ready to identify them and know the best way to limit their impact on politics. There are implications in extreme dominionism that bode seriously ill for a free republic.

A proper reaction to secularism will prevail; an extreme or misguided one will lead to chaos.

There probably are overreacters everywhere, to everything, but I don't think they're anywhere near as significant as these articles make them sound. I live in the South, where they might be expected to be concentrated, and I'd never heard of them before. I would suspect that most of them keep away from secular society all together and probably belong to some fairly clannish little groups that do not actually engage in politics, or have very little following if they do.

But it's a useful concept for the left to use to attack religious people. It's like saying everybody opposed to abortion is a would-be Eric Rudolph.
