Visit surprised of Condoleezza Rice in Iraq

ERBIL (Iraq) - the American Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice paid Sunday morning a visit surprised in Iraq while going in the Kurdish city of Erbil (northern), noted a journalist of AFP.

Mrs. Rice had arrived on board a military apparatus C-17 of Qatar. Its voyage in Iraq, a country devastated by violences was kept secret and only some collaborators were informed.

Colin Powell visited Iraq many times and I don't recall that ever being "breaking news".

Sure it was, anytime a high ranking official visits our troops on the front lines, it should be in breaking news
