Gansta Rapper Ice T argues that there is o difference content wise between Gasta Rap and traditional country music from artists like Johnny Cash. I might not go quite that far, but I'm sure there are a lot of similarities in some songs.

I might not go quite that far, but I'm sure there are a lot of similarities in some songs. I'll start: Johnny Cash's lyrics tend to tell tales of penitents, while Gangsta Rap's lyrics tend to tell tales of those who wallow in or celebrate their violent behavior.
