Fine, Tony. Rescorla deserves it. But why hasn't England Knighted Rescorla? He was the very epitome of a knight. He lived by the honorable code - He slew dragons on many battlefields. He rescued thousands of damsels in distress.

If that ain't a Knight, what is? Elton John?

When you read the bio and war history of this man, you realize he is especially remarkable. His leadership saved many a troop in Vietnam as well as on 911. It seems he probably would have made it out of the tower except for one stubborn Senior Executive of his company.

Better question is, why hasn't the US honored a man that saved 2,700 lives that day? If they have, I withdraw my question, but I haven't heard anything about it. I believe he was highly decorated for his Vietnam service too.

Yup. He did a great job getting all his people out. When the Port Authority was telling tower 2 people over the pa system to stay in their offices after the 1st tower was hit, he ignored them and made everyone evacuate. Given how many people on other floors listened and stayed put, only to die when the 2nd plane hit, his actions no doubt saved hundreds of lives.

RICK RESCORLA saved 100's of lives during the Battle of the IA DRANG Valley in 1965.

RICK RESCORLA saved 1,000's of lives at the World Trade Center during the 1993 Terrorist Bombing and then again during the 2001 Terrorist Air Strikes.

RICK RESCORLA continues to inspire others BY EXAMPLE every single day.

What better place for an inspiring new Bronze RICK RESCORLA Statue leading the way at the entrance to the National Infantry Museum at Ft. Benning GA..? And then the new National Infantry Museum upon its completion..?

Because Knighthoods are never given posthumously. In fact the insignia of knighthoods are returned after death to the Crown. However. Mr. Rescola is deserving of a George Cross, the Crown's highest decoration for civilian bravery.

It is given for: "acts of conspicuous gallantry performed by men or women when not in the face of the enemy".

A GC takes precedence over a mere knighthood anyway.

"In a letter to Cornish Lib Dem MP Andrew George, Mr Blair wrote: "You may be aware that there has been a campaign in the US to secure a posthumous Presidential Medal of Freedom for Mr Rescorla.

"It appears that no medal has yet been awarded, but we are trying to find out the current position from the US administration."

Americans have spoken, but the DC crowd is to "busy" to honor A Brother.
