"Frist regains his balls?"

Is it possible Frist is going to force the RINO's to go against the party on the Senate Floor?

...the great deal is quickly becoming the non-deal!

It's being exposed much more quickly than I expected. First 10 minutes of business.

Reid - "Nuclear option is off the table."
Frist - "No it's not."

Am I the only one here who finds Sessions adorable? He's just too cute.

I think he was nominated for a judgeship that was killed in comittee some years ago, I'm glad he's a Senator, wish he represented me, I'm in CA, ugh and ugly.

How long will the Senate Memorial Day break be?

I am curious as to the schedule they put together for voting on all these Circuit court nominees. Will they go through all of them by the end of June?

Something is up.....

SOMETHING other than a RINO deal with the devil had BETTER be up.
The RNC needs to be inundated with a herd of stampeding,
MAD elephant phone calls.

Frist is not backing down at all from the "Constitutional Option".

Frist has been cuckolded by the 7 RINOs. Think of them as his wife. He can claim that he isn't backing down but the little woman is sleeping with the enemy and there isn't a damned thing he can do about it. If he calls the confrontation, the RINOs go along with Reid as they have pledged to do. Frist can bluster all he wants, but all it does is ratchet up the pathetic factor.

Frist said it was schedlued for about noon.

Breaking the rules already?

... one hour after the Senate meets on the following calendar day but one, he shall lay the motion before the Senate and direct that the clerk call the roll, and upon the ascertainment that a quorum is present, the Presiding Officer shall, without debate, submit to the Senate by a yea-and-nay vote the question:

"Is it the sense of the Senate that the debate shall be brought to a close?"

Sessions is making excellent points here.

And yes, it's quite amazing how quickly the deal is either falling apart or at least how much disagreement there is about what the deal means.

Boxer just had the Senate floor and talked about why she had a change of heart regarding her previous stance on filibuster. Said she was wrong THEN in supporting the end of the filibuster and right NOW in opposing the end of the filibuster. Sessions took the floor and asked her to reconcile her previous stance with today's. She basically said you apparently didn't listen to the speech I just made. He looked very foolish.

The ModSquad (RINOS and mod (right) dems), were very careful to word 'extraodinary circumstances' when they mean extremists...They can't say future nominees are extremists because they let these three up for a vote.

Why do I get the rot-gut, sinking feeling that at the vote on at least 1 (my money says 2) of the 3 will see the Gang of 7 RINOs joining every DemonRAT?

Last I saw, it was Murkowski!!!

I hope they have the cloture at noon, and Frist immediately calls for vote on Owen, then after that vote, call for cloture on Brown, which would mean that she would get voted for sure by the end of the week....

I heard them say that Sen.Biden has some things to say about Boltons nomination--IOW, he is trying to keep his nomination from coming to the floor....
