I'm not as charitable as you, I'm afraid. Eighteen is old enough to know better than that.
You're right, and I have defended her in the past. It's actually good that she asks questions.
But, she shouldn't be granted any leeway when she makes such ludicrous and false assertions as she is doing here.
That doesn't mean anyone has a right to ridicule her, but we do have an obligation to correct any fallacies she purports.
