I never said he was running around on his wife (as Condidit was), but don't you remember how visible Kasich was, all over the place, until Chandra disappeared and Condidit made center stage? Kasich seemingly vanished from the face of the Earth for months, abandoning his buddy Condidit, for whom he even made campaign appearances.

Am I the only one who remembers this?

I have a very close relative who was running his Presidential campaign.I kept a very close on the events surrounding Kasich at the time. There was NO scandal whatsoever. He was also the reliable conservative in the primaries, especially since GWB had bashed California's Prop 187.

As I recall it, rumors about Condit's participation (and possibly Kasick's) in some sort of exotic sex club were just starting to surface (coming out of the Chandra Levy story). But then 9/11 happened, and no one ever picked up on it again. (I remember Howie Carr remarking that Condit was one of the few "winners" from 9/11.)
