Go to any barber shop and you will see the same amount charged for a kid with a full head of hair as the old guy that's balding. Big deal...

It's a private enterprise, as stupid as I think it is, people should have the right to do what they want, whether it be hiring their dad to work for them over a more qualified black person, or charging males more, or whatever.

you will see the same amount charged

I think that is the point of the lawsuit and from your comment, you are on the side of the plaintiff.

I wonder if Old English Sheepdogs get charged more than Labrador Retrievers at the groomers?

My father owns a barber shop, that is true.

How does that excuse a company charging more to blacks...?

The old bald guy's rate is incorporated into the cost of dealing with the hairy youth.

This practice, if prov en, is an unfair trade practice.

I am not a real knowledgeable person on hair care products, but I am just curious if the special rinses and straighteners that are customized for selected ethnic groups are priced the same as the stuff I can buy at the local drug store.

Correct. Most saloons in my neighbor hood charge for hair cuts / styles / color based on the type of hair. My family does not hail from Africa but my daughter has thick extremely curly hair .. she is always charged more than me (thick but straight) because her hair is more difficult to work with - bfd .. its just the way it is.
These women really to get over themselves.
