Just heard Judge Napolitano say on Fox that he could've been charged with obstruction of justice. How 'bout that? The #2 guy in the FBI - p***ed off because Nixon named L. Pat Gray as FBI director instead of him. Some hero :-(
I'd sure enjoy seeing that trial on Court TV.
He was too much of a coward to do that. Their family member was not only a rat...he was a coward to boot. Yeah...they must be real proud of those two qualities running through their veins.
I'd be embarrassed if he were any relation of mine. And I have some experience in that area :)
I hated Watergate at the time and I hate it now. It was so horribly overblown, it makes the Michael Jackson Trial coverage look modest. I can't magine how awful it would have been if cable news existed during Watergate. CNN = Crush Nixon Network.
At least we know that the Watergate rehash will end the minute there is a SCOTUS retirement announced. That will suck every bit of oxygen out of the political air.
On another thread someone stated Ronald Regan had pardoned this guy. I don't know if this is true, but would be interesting to know for sure.

I got that same feeling. The grandson was on earlier, reading a statement about his grandfather being a "hero". While listening to him, all I can think of was this kid is thinking Book Deal! $$$$$
If Liddy's right, I can understand why he has such emnity towards Dean. Sounds like Liddy and the others got hung out to dry by Dean after they'd done his dirty work.

Yeah, it worked out for us in the end. Without Carter's monumental incompetence, we never could have had elected someone as Conservative as RR. And had it not been for Watergate, it is unlikely a Rat would have been elected in 1976 (Carter barely won as it was.)
