As for her quote that they said she had no constitutional rights, I am sorry, but that is horse shit.

She is lying on that one.

Ok silent_jonny, since you claim to be a Conservative, then it should be rather trivial for you to quote the exact Constitutional language that granted the Federal Government the legal authority to perform such an action.

Was a search warrant issued by a judge?

Was their prior probable cause?

Come on, my fellow Conservative, this should be easy for you to answer.

Simply type the exact words from the Constitution that granted a Federal government agency this authority.

Everything but common sense is a weapon in your book, eh? No common sense shown in this incident. Utter waste of our money and time for jerks in the TSA.

"Don't forget to mention the "Bush Can Do No Wrong" crowd."

And your solution to airport security in particular and the war on terror in general is exactly what?

Again, where's the proof that this particular incident happened the way this particular woman said it did?

Where's your proof that it didn't?

I believe her more than I would believe anyone who works for the gooberment.

They lie more often than not.

Surely, you're not proposing that we eliminate the security checkpoints?

Absoluty yes!

After all, once we've done away with these checkpoints, what would keep a terrorist from carrying any number of bombs or weapons onto a commercial aircraft.

Armed American citizens that will sacrifice their own lives to protect others.

"LETS ROLL!

Dumb trash bastards operating under color of uniformed authority are still bastards. I hope the youth grows out of that trauma.

She says screeners refused to give her paperwork or documentation of her violation, documentation of the pending fine, or a copy of the photograph of the knife.

"They said 'no' and they said it's a national security issue. And I said what about my constitutional rights? And they said 'not at this point ... you don't have any'."

Unbelieveable.

Unfortunately, it's all too believable.

I blame the Republicans in Congress, who authorized this monstrosity. I expect this kind of raw power grab from Democrats, but not Republicans. Maybe I was naive.

Excellent point.

What teacher makes the sandwiches for her kids? None that I have ever seen. That is done at home.

"Today, I see more and more anti-Bush, anti-Republican garbage being spewed here than ever in my memory."

It comes and goes.

Sigh ... I'll ask the question one last time: What proof is there that any of this happened?

So far all I've read have been gag-reflexes to the TSA and the Bush Administration. The woman in the article clearly has a political bias and by making these allegations, she's trying to make a political point.

And your solution to airport security in particular and the war on terror in general is exactly what?

1. Profile passengers based on their ethnicity and religious preference.

2. Arm the pilots.

3. Allow concealed weapons license holders to carry on board flights.

Problem solved.

You can summarize that with one famous quote:

"LETS ROLL!"

Today, the American citizens will fight back, even if it will cost them their own lives.

That's because we now understand the consequences of a failure to act. Prior to 9/11, the main consequence of a hijacking is that a bunch of folks got to waste a day in Cuba, or some other communist hell-hole. The arabs have upped the ante.

The government knows this perfectly well, but they sieze the opportunity to tighten the screws any time they get. The sheeple blissfully nod their heads and bleat their approval, because the fight was beaten out of them years ago.

Where's your proof that it didn't?

It's not up to me to provide proof. That's the teacher's job--she made the allegations. At the very least, the reporter who wrote the story should've gone the extra mile to find someone to back up her claims.

>"You've committed a felony," Beaman says a security screener announced. "And you're considered a terrorist."<

'You've jumped to conclusions, without all of the facts, and you're considered an idiot'!

Not naive at all, just snookered like the rest of us. When the Dems control fedguv again, and it will happen, all of these water carrying big (R) guv types will start their squealing again. Blackbird.

She sure seemed ready for a confrontation. "What about my constitutional rights?"

Yeah, you're right...why do we need that pesky constitution and Bill of Rights for anyways.

Remember if you stand up for your rights, you must be a terrorist.

To those who scare peace loving people with phantoms of lost liberty, my message is this: your tactics aid terrorists for they erode our national unity and diminish our resolve. They give ammunition to America’s enemies and pause to America’s friends.

I have flown once and never had any problems since 9/11.

Look, if you don't break the rules, you will be fine.
