I don't think the Democrats know which way is politically up at the moment. We need to destroy them in the arena of public ideals, just in case, but they seem to be a ship without a rudder.

Which, by the way, positions the Clintons to re-assume power once again. So forget what I just said.

A black man beating Hillary? I'd pay to watch that.

Oh, you meant beating her in an election. Sorry. Never mind.

We need a Constitutional amendment that allows candidates and incumbents to only accept campaign contributions from registered voters that can directly vote in the election such candidates and incumbents are running in.

People like Hillary Clinton should not be able to take in huge amounts of money into outfits like "HillPac" then insert themselves into elections they have no business in. Especially someone like Hillary Clinton who is currently a US Senator. She is helping people get elected that she will then have sway over whenever she wants them to vote one way or another if they are elected to office. Basically, voters all over the country need to be protected from someone like Hillary Clinton.

If only people that are registered to vote for someone could contribute to their campaign then the George Soros types could not as easily fiddle around in elections Soros has no business bing involved in. This would also do away with "Chinese money" and other creative fundraising. Plus, it would make the damn politicians go home and deal with the people they are supposed to represent. Remember that "Representative Republic" idea? No longer would people elected to office have any reason to mess with issues other than the ones that have something to do with their own voters.

This isn't going to happen but something like it should happen. Then at least the Hillarys, MCain's, etc. who have no business meddling in a host of areas they should not be involved in would go do something constructive for the voters they have forgotten to represent.

it may be a sham, but we've only had one bachelor president in history, and no divorced presidents, and she most likely won't try to be too many firsts at the same time. so she has to keep the marriage.

Lynn Cheney? How about Jeb Bush/Lynn Cheney -- that way I won't have to remove my Bush/Cheney sticker from '00.

You keep forgetting...Hillary needs a sucker to run as VP.

She should have run last time. A run against a formidable candidate would have told her where she stood. She made a serious mistake and I don't think the party will let her have the nomination.

""It's going to be Hillary vs. Giuliani or McCain."

Boy that will bring out the conservative and Christian conservative vote."

It sure will.. for a third party conservative. And then Hillary can win with 43% of the vote like her husband.

Why the heck can't we find a GOPer who's got credibility as a candidate?

Because there is no "national" forum that can identify and promote a candidate. The Dims have the national media, and the Times and Post. We DO NOT want those sources picking our candidates (they are they ones pushing McCain and Guiliani.)

What do WE define as "credibility" in a candidate? The current administration can't start pushing a candidate. The RNC will not select a single candidate to push. Is the Rush Limbaugh show the forum for our credible candidate???

It's going to be Hillary vs. Giuliani or McCain.

Guess I'll be staying home next election. Hillary and McCain are not even worthy of consideration. Put up Giuliani and the Republicans will lose by default. Southern red state voters are simply not going to the polls and vote for a former NYC mayor. They have nothing in common with him. He might go as a vice president but even then I think he would run off more votes than he would attract. If he couldn't carry NY he would be a major ball and chain.

I didn't get polled but I don't support her. The last thing this country needs is another clintoonian administration that's berefit of a conscience.

Today begins the countdown. One year from today, Hillary will make her announcement. She will throw her hat in the ring on 6-06-06.

Hillary won't win, period. What a joke. Women voters (Soccer Moms) hate other women like Hilary

However, I garantee you that some conservatives will be fearful through election night.

Just as they were after the exit polls last fall.

I even heard one conservative throw in the towel and say "If Kerry is President then the Republicans in office will not make it easy for him".

History tells us that we're unlikely to guess the winner of the out-of-power party's primary this early on. Who would have guessed John Kerry (Lightweight-MA) would have won in 2004? Or that GWB would have been the GOP candidate in 2000? Dole '96 was, unfortunately, a foregone conclusion, but Clinton came out of nowhere in 1992 just as Dukakis did in 1988.

As for the GOP side, the nomination is Cheney's for the asking if he wants it (as is true for any sitting VP of a 2-term President), otherwise the field is wide open. One thing is certain, a pro-abortion candidate will not win the GOP primary under any circumstances.

I think I will wait and see what comes out of the republican party. The above are MSM picks because that is as far as they can think. They wish that these would be the picks because it would insure a Dem. victory. Oldest play in the books, let MSM name the candidates.

Normally, yes. This time, I don't think so. (The perception of...)Health issues would keep him from being handed the nomination.

Why are you replying to me on that? I'm not the one saying that, I'm quoting someone else and disagreeing with it.
