If you're a celebrity, in this country, you won't be convicted unless they ahave a videotape of you actually doing the crime.

True. I have no doubt that there are some who are serving lengthy sentences on crimes with lesser evidence, and of course, they had lesser resources.

They had a videotape of the car guy Delorean buying coke and he walked.

Being a celebrity means innocent on all counts.

Let's imagine I get irritated with a desk clerk and throw a phone at him. Will I be treated the same as the Gladiator with the Beautiful Mind? I doubt it.

Or I rough up an airport lady because I am so important? A Kennedy can do it and the problem goes away.

We are suffering from a celebrity culture where the Bold and the Beautiful can do whatever they want. I am disgusted with the verdict but I am not surprised. A California jury thought it was fine to shotgun "the boys'" mother and father while they were watching TV in the den. Yes, there was a conviction later, but why not the first time? I remember. They used their parents' money to buy the legal talent to get them off.
