The job of the prosecutor is NOT just advocacy. It is to labor for truth. The prosecutor has just as much duty to see the weaknesses and NOT prosecuting a bad case as prosecuting the good cases.

Otherwise the prosecutor's job is to win at any cost. (a mistaken notion of many a prosecutorial hack)

I agree. But there are many who think the prosecutor is a neutral party.

True!! When I was a prosecutor, in more than one case I dismissed it when it became apparent that the wrong person had been charged. It isn't easy to do, but it is the right thing to do.
