Well, I think if we help Iranian people topple these mullahs as they are, we save ourselves from having to arm Kuwait and Saudi Arabia with nuclear missiles!

I agree, we need to undertake everything in our power to bring down the mullahs.

The despotic régime has one principal source revenue, which is exportable sources of energy, crude oil & natural gas. Disruptions of that profitable commodity should be the prime target.

Iran's radical Islamic clerics have abused & misused Iran's vast oil wealth to maintain a brutal domestic dictatorship, as well as exporting jihadic terrorism by way of training, arms and funding to Hizballah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad & other pro-Shi'ite Islamic fanatics, plus infiltrating terrorist agents into Iraq, Afghanistan & beyond.

The mullahs are also using Iran's enormous oil profits in their race to rapidly gain offensive nuclear weapons. Global security will be at risk if a bunch of junior Khomeini's have their unstable fingers on the buttons of deadly nuclear weapons capable of reaching every major city in the Middle-East and possibly targets in southern Europe as well.

"How the elections under Shah compared to the elections today? How the SAVAK police compared with the Revolutionary Guard today?"

The Shah never exported thugs with a barbaric 7th century mindset in order to create further chaos in such nations as Lebanon, nor did the Shah fund & arm the likes of Hamas killers or blow up buildings loaded with innocent people, as far away as Argentnia.

The Shah was sold out by the very same Carter Administration which sold out other nations, such as Free China for Red China, plus that very White House also assisted in intensifying the havoc & bloodshed throughout Central America.

The majority of today's Iranian public were born after the madman Khomeini was [allowed] to seize power, and that is the same majority which shall bring forth meaningful change. All they require is some outside assistance to rid the nation of the current collection of Islamic despots before that present group of tyrants gains the nuclear potential for the unthinkable.

Don't believe it. When I was in the Navy, Iran was considered one of the best liberty places in the world. This was prior to Carter screwing everything up...

Who cares what the bulk of the Iraqi people have to say? I wasnt aware that our elected leaders were obligated to make decisions to appease citizens of other countries. I can see why they are happy, they are sucking my money away from me thanks to the ultimate liberal George Bush.

You seem to have worked out a map implying a possible rout to go. Now we only need to plane on who is going to get the contract to rebuild this stuff after we fight a possible world war for oil!!! Baby and bathwater comes to mind. All these ulterior motives make this plan as bad or worst than the mullah’s for the world’s economy and Iranians, if that issue was even considered. IMO it will all work out on its own. Iranian theocracy is not going to inherit its nuclear program ultimately; even though we are too tied up to do anything about it if we had the desire to do so, and Europe loves the mullahs so we would have to go at it alone again. The only power capable of doing anything now is the very same Iranian people.

In terms of the E.U. and the mullahs, the majority of western European nations had oil deals on going with Saddam as they currently do with Tehran. I would not expect much assistance from governments which could not even intervene in the former Yugoslavia.

I am no saying fight a world war over oil. The nation in question at this time is Iran. I can't think of any brutal dictatorship which was overthrown without outside assistance.

I agree there are millions of Iranians fed up living under the tyrannical rule of the radical clerics, however they require aid to bring the mullahs to their knees. After all the only reason the despots remain in control is through a state of fear. The proposals I put forth in terms of hurting the régime where it counts the most, via targeting the main source of national revenue will work to create the very same domestic instability the mullahs love exporting to other nations.

These so-called 'elections' are a total farce. The dictatorship approved of each & every 'candidate' in order retain absolute control.

Whatever the final outcome of the 'election' Iran's theocratic government will remain. Recall the so-called 'Supreme leader' Ayatollah Ali Khameinei still has the last word in matters of state. Some elections.

Saying "it will all work out on its own." and the "Iranian theocracy is not going to inherit its nuclear program ultimately;" I do not buy that overview for a second, unless the fanatical Iranian theocracy, the power in Iran is overthrown, and soon.

To those Iranians caught behind the lines and longing for America to undo a horrendous wrong committed by a former administration back in 1978-9, now is the time for various reasons, to right that wrong.

The Shi'ite Terrorism Axis of Tehran, Damascus & Hizballah/Hamas continue being the main threat to any lasting stability in Lebanon. This Axis is also behind the infiltration of jihadists into Iraq, plus continuing terrorist threats to Israel. The mullah's hold the financial card & the arms card of this Axis through their oil profits. Serious disruptions of Iran's exportable petroleum products, quickly resulting in meaningful jolts to the Shi'ite branch of Islamic Terrorist Inc and it's eventually demise as a financial element for global jihad against the West.

Once Iran & Syria are removed as tangible threats the only other major source of Islamic jihad funding are the Wahhabists.

All fine. Hit five main mullah government office buildings in 5 major cities simultaneously with American cruise missiles and cue W’s msg. on live media and watch the mullahs hang by the people. Doesn’t get simpler.
