I think that your stated reason for revising your position on drug legalization is a bit suspect. Like several people on the thread have suggested there are many other ways you could have relieved the pain. In addition, most Dentists will prescribe something over the phone, ESPECIALLY if he forgot to write one for you in the first place.

So, I don't think that I am going to change my unstated opinion of the drug war based on your experience. But good luck.
