What I don't get is the waving of Mexican flags. If you're a legal immigrant, you've decided that the United States is a place where you and your family have a better opportunity for a better life. If you're an illegal immigrant, then you've risked life and limb to get out of Mexico and into the United States. Neither case would seem to call for the waving of Mexican flags.

I believe that most of our legal immigrants are proud to be U.S. citizens - after all, they had to wait a long time and have perseverence to become citizens. They had to take the loyalty oath to the U.S. On the other hand, the illegals have no such loyalty and are only here to take from us. I don't think it's in human nature to respect another that allows you to take advantage of them. They may live here, but they probably plan to return to their home country (or re-create it here!).

"illegals have no such loyalty and are only here to take from us."

I see what you're saying - it's sort of like when a thief breaks into your house at night. He's risking life and limb, too, but he's there to take something and run, and he's not proud about being there. I suppose it takes a real sociopath to be truly proud of doing something wrong.
