Abdul Mukith, a 37-year-old supermarket worker in Brick Lane, the heart of London's Bangladeshi community, agreed. "What's religion got to do with it?" he asked. "I'm bloody Muslim, and I'm afraid to go into the city" just like anyone else in the aftermath of the attacks. Definition of Islam: The religion of the Muslims, which teaches that individuals, societies and governments should all be obedient to the Will of Allah as set forth in the Koran.
Mr Mukith, your bible (the Koran) has been interpreted to say that the muslims must kill the infidel where ever they exist. Until you get the lunatics in your community to see the error of their ways, I have absolutely no sympathy for you.
As I view it, IMHO, muslim = islamic religion. Islamic religion = dedication to the Koran. Koran states that infidels must be killed?
Can't have it both ways Mr Mukith, either the Islamic religion is a peaceful religion or it is not. If you have radicals in your religion, it is not for us to root them out, it is for you and other Muslims to root them out to save you and your religion.

Well, I am all for conquering their nations, forbidding the teaching of that murderous religion, then allowing them to adopt Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism or atheism.

"At this difficult time, some people in our community may feel insecure purely because they are Muslims, but these terrible events have nothing to do with us. The Muslims of London are victims as much as their fellow citizens," he said."

First off, we've got to make sure no one hires Salafi, nor gives them a bank account. Secondly, they must be clearly identified as being inherently prone to unbidden violence ~ which means we no longer have to treat them as "unlawful combatants", or even criminals, but rather as escaped criminally insane mental patients. So you would allow murderous acts by a Muslim jihadi to be passed off as criminal insanity? Not guilty by reason of insanity? I'm unwilling to allow that kind of a legal "out" for intentional acts of murder committed by religious zealots.

Sadly, I have seen this very thing happen on FR. And from established "old-timers" to boot.. It's the biggest stretch. One just has to wonder what would motivate a person to make that comparison.

I just heard one interviewed in Britain, he said they can't do anything about the murderers because the US will not help them by changing OUR policies. So true. A day or two after Sept 11, there was a rally on the steps of the Capitol in St. Paul, Mn. The politicians had the nerve to serve us a woman Muslim speaker who kindly began to remind us that it was the policies of the U.S. that provoked the attack.

Let us pray for our enemies, that they receive enlightment before we have to put a round in their thick heads.

"Let us pray for our enemies, that they receive enlightment before we have to put a round in their thick heads." How about afterwards to insure they won't have an opportunity to backslide -- requiring the human race to deal with the crazies again somewhere down the road?
Let's make it final and complete and save future generations from the necessity of having to filter the gene pool again.
If not us, who? If not now, when?

"Until 7/7, all the terrorist acts in London were done by IRA Catholic terrorists. You mean Catholics who go to church once a year, pray to Mary, let the Pope interpret scripture for them, and consider the Apostles as minor gods?
Those Catholics?

"This morning I was driving to work and a woman on the radio said she'd had her headscarf pulled. I was shocked, to be honest," said Ahmed Shafi, 31, a grocery store manager. "In this day and age you don't expect that."
Oh, my GOD, her scarf got pulled!
That poor broad wouldn't last five minutes at my Festival. If it's only my headgear that gets pulled, I consider myself very lucky.

Do you really consider the IRA-types Catholics? I think they are very much unlike the Catholics I've met on FR.

Back in the day (yo), when a cop got killed, the force would swarm the gambling dens and brothels and other undesirable locations, and shut 'em down until the thugs gave up the cop killer.
Too bad we can't do the like now.
