Today President Bush attended the last day of the G-8 Meeting and Arrived back at Andrews Air Forse Base in Maryland and immediately went to the British Embassy in Washington D.C. to sign the guest book and offer condolences to the victims of terrorist attacks on London yesterday. The Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the outpouring of sympathy and support by the American people, and he thanks President Bush for the gesture

First of all thank you all for your prayers they are much appreciated.

Just back from the hospital - up date on dad. Sorry if I was not clear in my email Mike the angina attack was not related as far as we know to the admittance to hospital.

He seemed to have recovered from that and was just very tired and did not have much energy but then he came over very cold and decided to have a lie down.

He did not get any warmer and when he tried to stand he could not. It was just like the end of December last year when he could not stand and wobbled all over the place. That time it was a water infection which we assume it is this time.

We dialed 999 (British equivalent of your 911) and got a an ambulance because there was no point in going through the emergency doctor cover because 9 times out of 10 for something like this they will advise going to hospital and anyway if the infection is that bad that he cannot stand he needs intravenous antibiotics anyway.

The service I must say for getting the ambulance was marvelous it was here within 5 minutes but the wait at the hospital seemed to take for ever. From booking in to actually seeing dad on a ward took the best part of 4 and half hours. In that time they took a urine sample, blood sample and did a chest Xray to rule out chest infection and also checked his temperature which was very high.

They gave him one dose of antibiotics intravenously before I left and I believe they were already kicking in so hopefully when I see him later today he should be well on the way to recovery.

Sorry I did not come back before but I was tired and fell asleep in the chair and have only just woken up and knew I had to do a long post with an update. Basically it looks like a water or chest (though physical exam of chest was clear X-ray was taken to rule that out) infection.

Thanks for the update on the VP just heard the same on FNC. I must say when I have seen clips of him recently he certainly does look well especially with a good skin colour

Thanks Mike the major thing was that when they did the EKG there was not sign of any heart related problem his main problem was weakness which he felt and so did many of the medical people (I lost count how many saw him) that spoke/examined him felt was related to an infection of some kind. He cannot stand on his own though he said after one dose of the antibiotic him felt stronger and firmer on his legs. God Bless you and all that prayed for him

I consider prayer as a Blessing, without Prayer, I would not be able to communicate with God. Ask me to pray anytime you want :-), Your Dad is in good hands, and that is because he has a daughter who knows the Lord well enough to ask for prayers :-)
