NAACP is sure to use whatever statements Mehlman makes against him.

Yeah, probably.

But the more important question is, why doesn't the RNC wake up to the fact that most blacks don't care about the NAACP anymore? If he's going to target blacks, why doesn't Mehlman speak before the Assn of Black Accountants? The Black MBAs? The National Bar or National Medical Assn? Speak to people who have a stake in society, not the dregs who depend on the NAACP to perpetuate their victim status.

Mehlman has been spending a significant part of his time this year speaking before many Black groups across the country. He is making the 'rats very nervous as a result. As to the NAACP, I say, it can't hurt, even though it may not help much, but at least he can deprive the MSM of their usual pseudo-whine about how the GOP disses Blacks because they dis the NAACP.

...Probably because it makes too much sense. You know the Beltway types aren't too swift in these matters.

The NAALCP leopard refuses to change its old tired spots anyway.
