Naturally, alan colmes defended this use of taxpayer dollars as "freedom of expression".
Apart from a few small islands of creativity here and there, art pretty much died after WWI. The majority of it today is an absurd, depressing hoax which should sink to the stygian depths without the benefit of lifeline from the public purse.
(That's what my 4 years in art school hammered home :)
