A search on google ("where 'quality' news sources are put at the top of the list") news found nothing but the Washington Times stories and a couple of blogs -- no "quality" news sources like NYT, Washington Post, LA Times, democraticunderground,. Al Gorezeera

Folks, imagine life without the Internet or modern talk radio on hundreds of stations.

No cable either. Just the three network TV's "news."

Cities were becoming more and more one-newspaper towns starting the second half of last century.

I remember. Looking for sources to find the spiked stories and to find the rest of the covered stories was not easy.

Don't ever let 'em take it away from us. Liberals harassed and threatened the licenses of many radio station owner who dared permit conservative opinion throughout the 1960s and 70s.

Gone is the "Fairness Dcotrine" but now a new tactic. A court in Seattle ruled that opinion on talk radio is "political contributions." The station, KVI, must calculate the value and report it. Many (most?) campaigns have limits on amounts which are permitted. End of talk radio?

No. Maybe the end of some courts, though.
