Reentry material development for the MX missile primarily but also solid rocket booster rocket nozzles and exit cones. Prior to that, this group developed the first space shuttle reentry carbon-carbon material that makes up the leading edges of the flight surfaces. In the early '60s, this group developed the Apollo heat shield and reentry materials system. And even before that, they developed the first reentry material used on the first ICBMs.
