Well, the AP at least succeeded in making another entry in the "Loose Lips Sink Ships" trophy contest:
"Cellular phones tied to a regular account are easier to trace than calls made from cell phones using anonymous prepaid cards."
They don't stop to think that there may be a few terrorists left who don't yet know about that.
Reminds me of the press telling the North Vietnamese SAM missile gunners to momentarily turn off their tracking radar. This would prevent the Shrike anti-radiation missiles launched by US aircraft from following the NVA radar beam BACK to the SAM launch site.
