We should just catch these guys, tie them to a pole in the middle of the desert, then let them blow themselves up like they wanted.

I love suicide bomber attacks where only one is killed.

Good news to start out the day. (But I'm sorry about the civilian bystanders. Why, Lord, did they have to die too? Not our fault, tho' -- it was the terrorists' fault.)

We need to give our guys more freedom in who they can fire on so they can better defend themselves. Lay out the no-encroachment rules and then blow away anything that crosses the line without formal approval/procedure.

Why, Lord, did they have to die too? They haven't - not yet, at least. Hopefully the injuries were not severe.

"Good News!"
Such good new in fact that this thread is where I will end my customary Saturday morning net/news surf time. Time to move on with my limited and coveted free time.
Gratitude to Cecily for posting this and sending me off with GOOD NEWS today.

I knew that the 80-year old Methodist widow would soon share her long-term grief with Allah now that her "Muslim Eternal-Reward-in-Heaven" or her "Muslim-American-Family-Blood-Money" has run out. It was just a matter of time before her cell was exposed.. May many more sickly cells also throw it up and expose themselves. Give it up and join the real world.

A suicide homicide car bomber...
...targeting an American patrol... (how does this AP writer know?)
...killed by US troops...Damn them American military murderers!!
...American troops opened fire on the explosive-laden vehicle before it reached them... (in such a non-provoked way, mind you).
...setting off a major explosion...(implication: our fault).
...that injured three civilian bystanders...(implication: we got three civilian bystanders hurt).
...The blast...also damaged nearby homes... (implication: more unnecessary collatel damage).
...There was no information on US casualties... (implication: there just had to be some but since the area was cordoned off by US and Iraqi troops, we will never know the truth).
Wow, for such a small article, this thing is loaded with obvious AP bias and misleading slant. Especially that line on US casualties. From what I can tell, there were no US casualties, but this guy had to insinuate that there had to be some.
So if I understand this one, a happy go lucky religion-o-peace truck(?) driver went cruising along on a suicide mission after his morning cup of joe. He considerately strapped on some explosives to his vehicle, which could have been a few firecrackers at this point, but since the writer did not indicate how much we may never be certain of, and went off in search of some US troops.
One thing is certain, however, that there were enough explosives to injure three civilians and damage some local homes at the behest of some American "killer" soldiers trying to defend themselves after being rudely interrupted during their morning coffee break, apparently the "suicide" bombers only crime. Kudos to the writer for at least using the phrases "explosive-laden" and "major blast", otherwise we'd have no clue.
Much like the writer of this article, speaking of clueless. After all, how can someone be said to be a suicide bomber, when the author clearly identifies the driver as "targeting" US troops???
