- "A former spokesman for the Sept. 11 commission, Al Felzenberg, confirmed that members of its staff, including executive director Philip Zelikow, were told about the program...

...were told about the "program"? Is this a way to 'sugar-coat' the impact of what they "were told"?, ie. were they told about the Able Danger "program" in general, or about the 'specific' operation that identified Atta and the 3 other hijackers? Funny how the reporter does not go into much detail here. Sounds like this is tyupical 'reporter coverup'.

According to Weldon, who put the NY Times on the story after the Philly Inquirer not only ignored him but ridiculed him, the Times story leaves out a lot and does sugar coat some of what is in. Its amazing that they printed the story at all. Weldon said that the Able Danger folks made a big formal presentation at Centcom in Florida where it layed out the charts and pics of who was who and some of what they had been up to and concluded by requesting approval to 'take action'; but we know how that worked out.
