Was that really an accident? It's even funnier if it was.
Does anyone have a live link to Savage's radio show? I don't ever listen but tuned in, got him for a few minutes, and have lost the station.
Savage says this is a bigger story than Watergate, btw.
Weldon just said the Lt. Col would be the first of many former fed employess to talk about Able Danger....hhmmmmmmmmm.
Station is back.
Curt Weldon there.
MS: Agitated over Able Danger. No follow-up in media. What have you learned since?
CW: I'm simply the voice of the Able Danger people who feel their work was not looked at seriously. So you're going to hear from an employee who feels his word wasn't taken seriously and because of the firewalls that were established by the previous administration, they weren't able to relay the information they found about a cell in Brooklyn.
The 9/11 Commission said there was no information, then said the Pentagon didn't provide info.
You're going to hear from someone who was promoted last year who spoke tried to speak with the 9/11 Commission several times.
MS: This goes back to '99, doesn' it?
ping! Savage has on Weldon
CW: He tried in 2000 to alert the FBI 3 times about AQ cells and specifically Atta, he kept his notes of the meeting.
He went overseas in '03 undercover for our country and reached out to the 9/11 Commission and told them they needed to follow-up on this and I want you to cover it. He had support of his commanding general.
When he came back stateside, he made 2 phone calls to the Commission offering tomeet with them, and they blew him off.
Separate from that, another Able Danger operative went in voluntarily on his own. They got nowhere.
And he is right. Not a single person died from Watergate, while 3,000 Americans died due to Jamie Gorelick and the Clinton lawyers.
I think I'll wait till their on Tony Snow's show tomorrow.
Give him a few minutes, Savage will turn this around and point the finger at Pres. Bush.
