There is one of the best fine art photography shops in New Orleans. Wonderful images, stuff that you see in books all the time.
My understanding is that it is pretty sudden. That might be mitigated somewhat by the levees. Unless they break, then it'll be unimaginable, I'd guess.
Oh No.... They've Cloned........
Somehow I think Beer is involved with you two..
That and the fact I've been at this almost 15 Hours now. And umm, no alcohol for me though.
Plus, we like hanging out with you all now and then. Good PR, right?
Don't know. I just know all large venues have them like hospitals, institutional facilities, and public saftey agencies. (A lot of your more sensitive industries have them as well.) Water level is probably something they may have not planned on, but you never know.
I do know, from what I have heard, that there are a lot of hazardous materials stored above ground that are at risk. Hazardous Materials people are going to be busy when this is over...

Ok, now I've seen it all. This is only the 2nd time in 7 years I've seen the mod talking to himself/herself. You're either going crazy or you're 2 different people. ;-)
Good luck and God Bless to all in the path of the storm. I'll be waking up early to see what happens. Good nite!
based on this....looks like winds about 40 mph in New Orleans:

Yes. They shut down and transfered over to a studio on a campus in BR. A couple of college kids who sounded like they were broadcasting from inside a tin can took over. I closed my window, just couldn't take that tinny sound.
Is the campus broadcast off the air, too, now?
Saltwater pools make their own chlorine continuously, so you don't have chlorine levels going through the roof on one day and running out on another. You have just the right levels all the time to keep the water clean. They are very easy to maintain -and it's true the water smalls better, and feels much better on the skin than that in traditional chlorinated pools.
Just as an example, look here:

FOTFLOL!
ACK....now there's THREE of you?
The New Orleans crew, yes but the coverage was supposed to switch to the crew who set up at LSU in Baton Rouge.
When Camille hit Bay St Louis, MS one of the local preachers took his family into his church. The entire family was found drowned in the steeple.
Nope, you got the girls tonight.
LOLOL - that was funny. Welcome to the way to deal with a hurricane.
hmmm...this may be a good time for me to sneak away for a nap...
In case you all are not reading the Freeper Check-In thread, Spiff has a great map he's making, keeping up with where the Freepers who are in the path of this storm are:
