Same here, just silence when I'm around a liberal that knows me. A calm, rational discussion is hardly ever possible; they usually get emotional, red-faced, loud and profane when challenged to support their position.

Liberals, IMO, are for the most part cognitively dissonant. Their thoughts so often clash with reality and natural truths, they go weird as the result. It's basically flawed program code.

I will admit at 18 I was a young idealistic liberal... as soon as I joined the military at 19 all those liberal delusions were wiped clean and I saw the liberals as the soul suck leechs they are. There are a few Democrats that I respect like Zell Miller. But liberals only feed off of the pain and anger and once that is gone they move to the next in the belief that it will give them additional political capitol.

What I think most liberals have failed to realize is that we are sick of them trying to constantly play our emotions and the tactics that they use have lost there effectiveness.

It is unfortunate that the liberals choose to play on human emotion. Because of their consistant use and abuse of emotions it has corsened american society greatly... we are much more jaded to others misfortune then we use to be. Not all the time, but it is there.

Liberals now know she's a liability. When the most powerful people coming to your side are a washed-up folk singer, a TV president and Al Charalatan, you're in trouble.

Sheehan is a zombie, a MoveOn-talking-points-repeating automaton.

Watch the short movie clip. Prepare to laugh.

I just wanted to make one other comment on the interview and her comments on casey.
1st
She admits that he made this decision of his own freewill prior to talking to his parents. (she is upset with this and stated that she would have talked him out of it. Sounds very controlling.)
2nd... She states that case was a good, loving, kind, and gentle young man.

That I do not doubt. Most soldiers are till prevoked to fight. Just because you are a soldier does not mean you loose those qualities. I consider myself a very compasionate person and very patriotic too. I could balance both those Ideals. Sorry Cindy just because you thought you son was a Good Person it did not stop him from serving his country like millions of other have done for this country.

To Cindy and her ilk..... Casey made the decision of his own freewill... Stop using his name for your political gain. You will lose in the end! American has faced its disentors from the inside many times before. We have overcome and grown we will do it again. So moonbat lefties and DU trolls let me offer this suggestion to you all. If you really cannot stand what America is doing and do not like our government or the rest of us in this country. I hear that Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro are looking for more comrades.

Well then, my thoughts are correct. Cindy Sheehan is trying to blame someone else because deep inside she blames herself that her son Casey is dead. She's not crazy, yet, but driving herself in that direction. But absolutely she blames herself and is so overcome with it, she at this time is compelled to find someone besides herself guilty over his death

I heard this on Laura's show this morning, but I had to listen to the raw stuff, and it was even more pathetic. Conan even said to her, "So he chose to join by his own free will."

[Sounds of crickets chirping]......[uncomfortable pause]

Sheehan: Babbles something about how that has nothing to do with how Bush used my son in an illegal war killing people who are not our enemy, etc.

Then there's the place where her minders -- obviously listening in and realizing this is turning into a disaster -- hand her a piece of paper telling her to give her "two-minute warning." With such little time, Conan decides he'd better take the opportunity to ask more tough questions.

Conan: You got a chance to meet with President Bush ... what happened in that meeting?

Sheehan: I've already talked about this a lot. Aren't we going to talk about what's happening now and what's happening in the future. [In other words, "Waaaaaa! I thought this was going to be yet another in a long line of opportunities to spout my propaganda and advance my agenda unchallenged. No fair! No fair!!! Everyone else lets me do it!"]

Conan: No. I've actually not heard your answer to this.

Sheehan: [Audible heavy sigh] Umm. Excuse me.

Conan: I'd not heard your answer, if you don't mind.

Sheehan: [Sound of a piece of paper ruffled and handed to her]. I have two minutes. [This is at the 4:53 mark of a 30-minute program.]

Conan: You have two minutes?

Sheehan: OK. I have two minutes. So....ummmm...He was...George Bush acted like we were at a tea party. He was rude to us and we felt worse than we did after we met with him.

Ok. Let me pause here. I was covering the president that day when he stopped and met with families on a military base outside Seattle, Wash. (I was a member of the White House Press Corps at the time). Members of the press weren't allowed in, but it was hardly a 'tea party' atmosphere. It was held, I believe, in a hangar and he met for quite a long time with many, many family members. Bush is a real stickler for staying to his schedule, but as he often does, he tosses that schedule out the window when he's meeting with families. He won't leave until everyone who wants a moment with him gets one. It is unimaginable that he would be "rude" while talking to grieving families. It's just not in his personality. And note how she pretends she is speaking for every family that attended. He was rude to "us," he made "us" feel worse afterward. Who is this "us" that was in attendance besides you, Cindy. And, as we know, immediately after the meeting, Sheehan was quoted in the press and thought (1) the meeting made her feel better and (2) he was gracious and generous with his time. Her tune has changed. Surprise.

We continue with the broadcast...

Conan: I didnt' realize we had two minutes. We thought we had more with you today. I want to ask, I know you're planning when Bush comes back to washington to continue the protest in Washington, D.C.

Again, here is a time when Conan, realizing that his cowardly and petulant "star" interview is going to bail tries to woo her into staying with him by giving her a chance to plug her protest of Bush. It was a nice try and a deft move. We'll see what good that did him. We continue...

Sheehan: Yeah. we're taking a bus to Washington to march and protest, blah blah blah...[BUT PREPARE FOR HIGH COMEDY AHEAD!]

Conan: You did get a chance to meet with his senior advisers a couple of weeks ago. Did they listen to you or did they talk to you?

Sheehan: [Pause] Hello?

Conan: Hello? Did they listen to you or did they talk to you?

Sheehan: Hello?

Conan: Yes, Hi.

Sheehan: I didn't hear your question. I'm sorry. We have a really bad connection.

Conan: I apologize for that.

Sheehan: Well it's not your fault, I'm in the middle of Crawford and it's pretty spotty service out here.

I pause again. There is spotty service out there. I can attest to that. But there is not a hint that her connection is bad. She is hearing things OK, but is pulling the whole, fake and juvenile 'you're breaking up' routine that she pulled when Gary Qualls tried to talk to her. That's the best she can do? Fake technical difficulties? On a live, national radio show? Pathetic. I expected better from her handlers. We continue...

Conan: I understand, I was asking about your meeting with some of the president's chief's advisors. Did they listen to you or did they talk to you?

Sheehan: They listened tdo me and they talked to me and they tried to tell me things that I new wern't true. So I said that just because I'm a grieving mother doesn't mean I'm stupid. And I said I don't believe you guys are stupid either. We had a meeting and they said they'd pass along my concerns to the president and then they left.

Conan: So you felt like you were being dismissed.

Sheehan: I felt like I was being patronized.

Conan: Patronized

Sheehan: And I felt that they thought they could intimidate me or impress me with the high level of officials they sent.

Conan: What would you say to President Bush if you had a chance to talk to him again? [Back to softballs....]

Sheehan: I'd say, 'What was the noble cause he sent my son to die for and why are our soliders still fighting over there if this war is based on lies.' And I'd ask him to quit using my son's name to justify the continued killing.

We MUST pause here. I don't believe President Bush has ever publicly uttered the words "Casey Sheehan." Ever. And it's pretty rich for Cindy to complain about anyone using a soldier's name to justify anything, consideirng (1) she's using her son's grave to launch a political parade of the absurd, and (2) she had no trouble using the names of soliders from families who support the war to make her political points. And she has done it repeatedly despite requests from families to keep their sons out of it. What a jerk she is. And, come on. She knows the answers to all those questions she has for Bush. A real questioner would challenge her on that crap. We continue...and speakind of what I said above, Conan ends the softballs.

Conan: As you know there are parents of other men and women who died in Iraq who say you are using their sons and daughters names for their cause.

Sheehan: [Noticably annoyed] To stop the killing? You know, just becuase my son's killed, why should I want any other children to be killed. Why would I want any other families to be going through this and this seems to be the president's reasons for continuing the war. Because he's killed so many American soliders already he has to kill more and I believe that's the most insane and immoral reason for continuing the war.

Conan: I understand what you're saying [really?] but they say you don't speak for them.

Sheehan:I never said I spoke for them. I never said I spoke for 100 percent of military families. I never claimed to. I know they have their opinoins and they have their right to their opionons.

Conan: Fair enough. A lot of statements have been attributed to you as t his camp casey has grown as this movement has grown...

Sheehan: I have to go now. Thank you [in a sing-song voice at the 7:54 mark, actually doing better than the 2 minutes she said she had left].

Conan: Cindy Sheehan leaving us there in Crawford, Texas. We apologize for that. We had arrangement with poeple there to speak with Cindy Sheehan for the rest of this segement, to take phone calls as well. Sorry for that...

Gary Qualls comes on next and has something to say about Cindy's tactics after he talks about how proud he is of his son for his service in the Battle of Fallujah.

Qualls: I called her up...I asked to exlain her motives and what she was trytin got gain by protesting the president at his ranch. Then a hostile voice came back on and she started tapping on the phone and saying, 'Hello? Hello? We have a communication problem here.' And then she hung up on me.

This broadcast is at times infuriating, hilarious, pathetic and inspirational. A must-listen.

Wow, left-of-center host Neil Conan actually dared to ask questions about Casey Sheehan's voluntary military service and the meeting with President Bush? I wish I had listened. The lefties are turning on themselves. Maybe Neil will have an epiphany. The feigned compassion of many on the left is wearing thin or vanishing altogether.
