We'll have to agree to disagree. And I've already made the distinction between stealing food to stay alive and stealing non-life saving items.
How many hundreds of people are dying today because boats were shot at while they tried to get people off of roofs?
Some innocents will be shot. But hundreds of others will be saved.
And what do you think is going on with those gunshots we keep hearing about? Women and children are being raped and murdered. THis is a war zone and in a war zone, innocents get killed. But far more will be saved.
You know what is really disturbing also, is that these criminals will likely never be brought to justice because of the chaos of the situation.
Not only will they be recovering dead bodies who died from the storm itself, but they will have to discern between those killed as a result of circumstances physically related to the storm, and those murdered after. NIGHTMARE!
A four year old was raped in the Gonzales evacuation center. Prayers for her.
They should get the people who are shooting people...but, we are still in America and it isn't a war zone, it's a disaster area. People have the right to a trial and jury. There would be massive repercussions around all of the US if police were to start randomly shooting people who are suffering from this calamity. It isn't right. The property is gone and that sucks...but saving lives should be our priority.
