Call me caloused, but I won't donate a red cent to the NO refugees. Mississippi, yes. NO no. They elected their inept leaders that are now blaming everyone else for their woes. NO's problems are self created. Levees not high enough? Fed's fault. BS! They've known of this problem for years. Where's the mayor's disaster preparedness plan? The governor's? Non-existent. Now it's Bush's fault? I DON'T THINK SO!!!

Well, that's your decision, but things just aren't that black and white (or blue and red) to me.

I live in Minnesota and I have not voted for any of the liberals here, and I know that there are people in need in N.O. who haven't voted for the government they have right now.

I've made some bad decisions at different points in my life, politics being the least of it. I have received compassion from different types of people and have friends with different political leanings.

If my money can help someone in that horrible situation down there, I'm overjoyed.

there was a thread a day or two ago and it included names of churchs that were gathering together in Houston to pay for a month or two of meals....anybody know what thread that was?.......I think that it would be best to give directly to the churches involved..
