I'm a little worried now about all the medication they have us on. I'm on some stuff myself that will cause some unpleasant effects if I'm cut off, and if we have a cataclysm where I live, that might just happen. It's not good. I think we need to start weaning ourselves off of a lot of things. And slowly, very slowly, I think we are. Not a lot, but our attitudes are changing. For one thing, I see that people want to stay close to home these days. The zeal for travel is gone. The rest of the world resents us and, we don't have much use for them either.

Exactly. I think this is a wake up call. We need to get out of the cities and into a place where we can better take care of ourselves. You are right about the medication. And I honestly wonder if its really needed so much. My husband is in the same boat. The Dr. diagnosed him with some light defiecency syndrome, gave him pills for it. He tried to get off them and he had a terrible time. He had to resume taking them again. I think this is going to wake us up to not blindly trusting a lot of people anymore. Drs who say we need all these pills for one thing.

Good point. On Saturday morning, I began titration off anti anxiety medication under medical supervision. I don't want to take any medication not absolutely necessary. It took this calamity to bring me to this point. God forbid, something happens (terrorist attack, etc) and there's loss of infrastructure in my town, I want to be ready for it. (Load up on ammo too. After I learn to shoot a gun.)
