How much did she contribute? As a publicity stunt she gave away a bunch of free cars, well there you go Oprah give them a bunch of free homes. She's another enabler.
Where's that picture of Nagin in the yellow skweel bus coming to the rescue?
OPRAH SHUT UP! NO ONE ASKED YOU TO GO ANYWHERE AND BRING YOUR ENTOURAGE AND CAMERA CREW WITH YOU!
Oprah owed the world an apology for that damn show of hers.
Maybe they can get an apology from nature.
I am sorry they elected incompetent to run their city.
That is as much of an apology as they will get.
DoctorMichael: STFU
So how many evacuees is O opening her home(s) to? The same questions to the other big-mouthed celebs that have so much to say.
How about asking Millee for apologies for this post?
Oprah is like all RATs--blame somebody other than the proper person to blame. The inner-city poor need to apologize to the inner-city poor.
The gang members, looters, rapists and those who enable them, owe us an apology. Oprah, do you enable and make excuses for the monsters who prey on the helpless innocents? Do you offer them cover by condemning those who do stand up to them? Step up to the plate.
Part 2 airs today.
I guess we should be grateful that OPRAH cut her long summer vacation short to sensationalize the misery of those who did not heed the warnings and the incompetent NEW ORLEANS AND LOUSIANA GOVT.
Oprah owes the entire nation an apology for inflicting that horrible show on us for so many years.
Ah celebrities. What would we do without them. I am but a worm compared to the entertainment exalted ones (sarcasm off)
Um, no, I don't owe anyone a apology for a Cat 4/5 hurricane hitting a region prone to big honking hurricanes. Oprah, your an idiot.
Mayor Nagin, who didn't follow the prescribed plan for saving his city probably owes them an apology.
The cops who walked off the job owe them an apology.
The governor who did not admit the federal workers or declare a state of emergency or mobilize her national guard soldiers owe them an apology.
But the "nation"? No. I weep for the children and the innocent, yes, but I won't apologize. I haven't done anything wrong.
Double-dog ditto that, Millee! That picture of all the buses under water says it all -- Nagin could have evacuated the city if he would have had the leadership to do so. And how about all of the people that WOULDN'T leave and STILL won't leave????? No sympathy here.
in understand that she gave a couple of mil, which is good. what I resent is being told that i must contribute to a bunch of people who do nothing but whine and complain about how bad they're treated.
I'm sure that there are some real nice people out there, but since the left is blaming me and my president for the ineptitude of state and local officials, and they continue to lie and be nasty about it, i simply don't feel like subsidizing that over and above the taxes i pay.
She contributed $22.5 million, as a matter of fact. A wonderful gesture, but unfortunately it makes her feel as if she's entitled to pontificate and say that "the nation" owes NOLA an apology.
BTW, her contribution is 10% of the $225 million she stated that she would earn this year. She said, while making it very publicly known how much she was donating, "I think I can get by on $200 million this year". Draw your own conclusions.
How about she leave the TV cameras at home and crank out a fat donation? It won't get any coverage but it would actually DO somthing, which is what they have all been slobering about.
