I'm still trying to figure out how folks had to go looting for food and water after only one day without.
It's a sad state of affairs when our schools are so bad that they teach people to label themselves without teaching them what the words mean, like non violent in this instance.
It's often the people who try to put themselves off as the most compassionate that lash outlike this. I've seen it time and again with liberals, and several times here at free republic.
They'll call you insensitive, uncaring, unchristian - you name it. But if you stick to your guns and prove your position correct, they'll start lashing out at you. Projection - "I think you must be a horrible, violent person because deep down that's what I really am".

It appears that he completely misses the point of having a NONVIOLENT committee. As usual, the "tolerance" o the left only extends to those that fully agree with them.

So Rev. Pat Robertson says "I don't know about the Doctrine of assassination, but if Hugo Chavez believes we are trying to assassinate him we might as well go ahead and do it" and that was called outrageous and the State Dept had to denounce it, etc.
Now a left winger goes out and says shoot the President, not some foreign dictator and it's hardly mentioned. This isn't the first time either, you had the book mentioning assassinating BUsh 43.
If the secret service are after this, they must be camping out at DU monitoring all their threats 24-7.
He's not in jail? What the...??? We're at war and rat-bastard traitors like that should be locked up in Gitmo for the duration! Well, I can dream, can't I? :-(

HOWEVER, my son is going to graduate school, listens to classic '70s easy listin' and some Lizst, Mozart and Rachmaninoff. He and his fiance are going to Church on a regular basis.
So... Maybe my wife and I got straightened out, and on the right path in life.

If the words above really are Marcus Deane he has shown his true racist colors. The black people that were left behind to die by their government have absolutely every right to survive.
Why is it we are so aligned with profit and goods more than people? Is this becoming a country that can only wage war and protect the elite?
Since Deane is swinging so far from the reactionary right, let me swing an equal blow from the revolutionary left.
I say take everything you can to keep you and your family alive, because it took the government five long days to bring fresh food and water. That's five days of no bathing, water, food, decent shelter, toilet or basic human functions.
I say shoot every cop, national guard and politician who stands in your way, INCLUDING GEORGE W. BUSH if need be.
I say once you get out of New Orleans or wherever else has been destroyed you demand FREE housing and medical treatment paid for by the U.S. government.
I say we unite and demand legislation that strengthens the government to help poor people. Stop relying on the altruism of the private sector and let's create a radically progressive public institution.
