Nice comments. And really, you have to wonder what's in Paul's head. If the wimpier members of the GOP got what they want, we would be a weaker and less free nation. If the Dem caucus gets what they want, we'll be headed for gulagland. So who does Paul spend his time criticizing? Republicans, and he spends more time shooting at the conservatives than the RINOs. It's like being in WWII and hating the French while the Nazis are bearing down on your position.

Ron Paul is an interesting fellow. He is consistant in his particular version of the libertarain vision. He serves to demonstrate for us what conservatism might be like without Whitaker Chambers and the confrontation of the "armed doctrine" by the change in conservatism in the 1950s.

And being consistant and somewhat well reasoned on many items, he is always useful on the subject of limited government. But he is like dermal abrasion, a useful cleaning tool, but daily use will cause more harm than good.
