Landrieu blamed Bush administration cuts in mass transit funding...and Nagin apparently said on Meet the Press that he couldn't use the buses because he didn't have enough drivers - couldn't get any of those political hacks on the city payroll to get out and actually do something for the city in an emergency, apparently - Landrieu and the mayor should get together to get their stories straight......

Part of a plan to have buses evacuate the city would be to inform the drivers they were expected to work--and if they didn't sign up, then to find other volunteers.
Driving a bus in an emergency is not rocket science.
