Jackson, Sharpton And Co. Are At It Again
The Post Chronicle ^ | 09\14\05 | Linda Chavez

The race men are at it again, turning the tragedy of New Orleans into a morality tale about racism in America. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Rep. Maxine Waters (who qualifies, despite her gender), rapper Kanye West, and a host of lesser-known black leaders and spokesmen were quick to see racism in the agonizingly slow evacuation of New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. Jackson compared the situation at the infamous Superdome to "the hull of a slave ship." West ranted that "George Bush doesn't care about black people." Even Sen. Barack Obama, who initially said that class was the biggest factor in why many New Orleans residents failed to make it out of the city before disaster struck, seemed to blame the president for racial insensitivity. "I mean, it's puzzling, given his immediate response during 9/11, that he did not feel a greater sense of empathy towards the folks that were experiencing this enormous disaster," Obama said on ABC's "This Week" on Sunday.....

What about the NO Hispanics, Asians? Not one tear rolling down the cheeks of these people...

There's lots of deserving minority immigrant groups the GOP should be going after... Let's put effort where we'll get better results. Of course, we'll always welcome blacks with open arms -- but that's a firmly entrenched part of the dem party and getting black votes is like swimming upstream. Blacks aren't the only minority.

To ignore all other minorities is a form of racism.

Also, Clinton used the Sister Soulja moment to help him get elected and Hillary will probably do the same.

It's time to refocus our effort on groups we have a better chance with...

> The blacks you speak of are innercity. They are caught in a cycle of poverty that these black leaders and democrats do all they can do to perpetuate.

You'd think the Bush team might have sensed an opportunity here.

I believe a part of his bi-racial claim is black, and most who are bi-racial with black blood are considered as black. Although as you say ---WHY? If a person is half white and half black and goes in to get a drivers license why shouldnt they claim to be white? If a bi-racial child is entered in school why shouldnt that child be entered as white? I dont think at this point in time there is a blank for bi-racial people. But I do think as their population increases , that one day there will be.

WHITE people see them for the jokes they are. Black people seem to believe everything they say. Not all black people of course, just about 80% of them. Not good.

No not all black people at all. Not everyone falls for this kind of slop. Just like I as a white person don't fall for hillereee, kennedeee, boxir, peloseee or any of those other people.
