Doctor Zhivago is a total bore. I withdraw my support of this nominee untill he develops better taste in movies. :-)

Yeah, I didn't like DZ either. I just don't get why it makes so many top movie lists.

In high school I was unfortunate enough to have to watch that movie 3 times in one 12 month period (early 2nd semester 1 class, late the same 2nd semester for a different class, and early the next year in a 3rd). I can only remember 3 things about the movie:
it was snowing all the time
the balalaika music was interesting at first but got grating about halfway through the second viewing

Doctor Zhivago is a visually beautiful film, but the story is less interesting and sometimes hard to follow. It stills from the film would make for a great coffee table book.
