Also we can now implant the secret Diebold microchips in the poor Democrats so that we reverse their decades long voting patterns at the source. Republicans will rule Louisiana and all of the South for a 100 years or more!

This is America; we help our OWN citizens.

LOL. You've never had to apply for SS disability insurance, have you?

Refineries - I sure hope so. That would be a shot in the arm to the local economy. Well, the national economy too...

I hope to get a governor in 2006 - Ken Blackwell.

Joe Scarborough is yapping that he wants Federal Oversight

I guess Joe missed the part about the Inspector Generals in charge of the money

sounds like pandering to me

Krauthammer just said he sounded like LBJ and the Great Society

the largest wealth redistribution in the history of the world outside of conquest

and we need more of that?

geez....

one thing.....they had better try to federalize as much of that rebuilding we are all going to pay for as possible

otherwise, given Louisiana and NOLA ....lol....the corruption there is without peer in this country.....and I know from firsthand experience

and all this racial discrimination legacy PC-talk?

NOLA has been largely black for generations off and on and has been run by a mulatto ruling class for 30 years now...

minority business set asides?

endorsed on this forum?

beam me up Scotty.

One black woman said she blames the mayor of N.O. because they (the feds) "allocated funds to build up the levee, but the govenor never did it."!!!! SOMEBODY ACTUALLY 'GETS IT'!

I could just hug her! Sweet.

I am doing.

I am actually at work (my calculus Homework isn't making the night pass by at all).

My wife (Jackie) is at home with my dogs, hopefully enjoying a nice quiet evening.

Let the Buchanites and Constitution Party whackjobs rant. Bush laid out a clear vision for rebuilding the area and providing emergency, not permament, assistance to those who lost homes and businesses. He also acknowledged the failures of the system.

---It's as bad as I expected. Why as a taxpayer do I have to "do my part" to rebuild an area that I don't live in.---

Because this is how America behaves when we have a big disaster. If it was your part of the country, we'd be doing it for you.

Agreed. I'm glad someone didn't say why should we as a taxpayer why should I pay the military to kill people who didn't attack me personally... oh wait I listened to those people cheering Galloway last night.

Your tag line just made me spit diet coke on my monitor. thx!
as to the other, i'm still wary and will always be with any dime that exchanges between my wallet and that of uncle sam or his nephews. i know it's necessary and i don't even try to cheat when april rolls around, so please indulge me a little grumble about it now and again, if you'll be so kind. ;)
