Jay recently filled in for Neal Boortz for a few days on WSB in Atlanta. I had never heard him before.
I listened to part of one day's effort. The following days I needed to clip my toenails or some such important task and left Jay to his hatred of Bush and his self adulation.
So it left me puzzled as to why Neal had Severin filling in. Then a light dawned. Neal is a Libertarian, and Severin is a libertarian, I think.
I get easily irritated with Boortz and turn him off, but at least he sometimes has an entertaining show.

In January Jay Severin is going to have a nationally syndicated gig with Infinity Radio. I have advised Jay that he needs to take a more nationalistic stand on the issues, talk less of the nuance of politics, support the President, because the President is, and reference common experiences that people can identify with, not experiences that differentiate him from the listener. He needs his family in the picture we have of him. He mustn't posture as too smart for the rest of us, because he will be found out eventually.
