The FairTax proponents HAVE told the truth about the rate - you're merely unwilling or unable to understand it.
It is VERY clearly explained in a number of different places and on the FairTax website. It's even been explained hundreds of times on these threads, so your attempts at calling the FairTax supporters liars is very far afield.

What blows my mind is anyone who is in favor of the Status Quo. The Marxist Progressive tax system we have rewards negative behavior(aka the poor), and punishes the successful (aka the rich). Compound that with God only know how many different federal taxes we have vs. 1? What would you rather fight 1 tax or 200 different types of Federal taxes? I guess no matter where you go in life you are always going to have those NEGATIVE people that lack testicular fortitude to try something different.
