Wish I could agree with you. However,I (and my family, for that matter) were NEVER accepted, at churches. The last one I was at (a medium-sized one, 300-500 on a Sunday), the women there thought they were "too good" for me, and sought out better looking, richer,more popular guys(the same for the guys there, towards my sister and mother). Not to mention, and worse, although the church SPOKE about helping others in need, and such, when MY family was hurting financially, the ONLY help I or my family received was the usual "get a job" type comments. And one girl, whom others there had suggested would be a good match for me,(even though my sister and mother thought she was unattractive), I tried to establish a friendship with for nearly 9 years.However, she thought she was too good for me OR my family, and would walk away from me, my mother, or my sister, whenever we attempted to speak with her. This, from the SAME girl, who gave a speech, about a week before I left there, about how "we must make sure that people who come into this church are not forgotten, and that we show them love,and friendship, and do not allow them to "slip through the cracks", so to speak".ALL THE WHILE, SHE HAD SHUNNED ME ,AND MY FAMILY, FOR NEARLY 9 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So NO ,church is NOT a good place, to find friends, or a mate, UNLESS you fit into the "in" crowd-- which me and my family never have.
