We're up to the "R"s with Rita. Didn't one year have us work all the way through the alphabet and start all over again?

Just damned. And I'm stuck with dial-up since BellSouth's DSL is down for the count.

Hmmm-- forecasted to come straight into the Gulf. It's early on, I know, but I wonder if Mr. Ray Nagin is going to stick to his plan to bring people back into NO right away?

If Mayor Nagin is anywhere near NOLA these days, he will likely listen to emergency ops advice.

Hey there, just got back into the Lower keys from Jacksonville where i've been for the last 3 days. Traffic going out the Keys was bumper to bumper...smooth sailing coming south. This one doesn't seem to be too worrisome for us.
Take care

In 1933, there were 21 tropical storms/hurricanes, no storms were named back then. In 1995, the last storm named was Hurricane Tanya.

It is the typical waiting game for now. I got a feeling it will pass between us and Cuba. Normal for this time of year :(
