Hurricane Rita now...
Hey,
We're getting a little breeze ourselves.
Think it's a result of Rita...seems so far away to be giving us such a breeze?
I'm not complaining, LOL, it feels good.
Thank you for posting these threads.
And away we go!
Seems to me that this track keeps inching the landfall further east each time we see an update...
Thank you!
rain...please...
Let's steer this thing south. My wife and I are supposed to go to Houston this weekend sans kids. "You want to see God laugh, tell him your plans."
TAW
I just hear the upgrade to hurricane status on Fox. The outer bands will cross central Fla. today and some parts of Fla. east coast will get 20-30 mph winds with slightly higher gusts. Nagin has ordered an evacuation per Fox news. DUH.
Aw, gee, NN, not again.
New thread ping
Who crowned him Governor of Florida?
YEOW!!!! Ugly band hitting us as I type. Please let the lights stay on......the Disney channel is keeping us sane at the moment.
Thanks, we are getting out of state in am, be back Tues or Wed of next week. Can't take the heat when power goes out. Too close for comfort and don't want to wait because traffic may be bad. Don't expect damage etc, but being without power for a week with 105 heat index and high humidity after Katrina was miserable.
Had shutters up for weeks with all the storms last year. Really cuts down on the noise. The cats slept for days at a time too...
This pic auto-updates.
Any word on how this will impact oil production and refining yet? Is it far enough south to bypass the LOOP and refineries on the gulf coast, or is a hit on Galveston just as bad as a hit on NO? It looks like this one won't be as strong as Katrina, so we have that much going for us right now.
Yep- that looks like an eye...formation will be interesting now.
Looks at least like DFW could get some rain from Rita. We need it.
