Geraldo calls Minutemen 'vigilantes'

Geraldo Rivera, senior correspondent for Fox News, told a group of Hispanic journalists vigilantes had created "hysteria along the borders" and advised his colleagues not to "let your newsroom push you around on the issue of immigration."

"Bust them on their hypocrisy," Rivera said at the annual awards gala of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists in Washington last week, according to a report by the Robert C. Maynard Institute of Journalism Education.

Rivera, who served as honorary gala chairman of the event, announced from the hotel stage that he was donating $80,000 to NAHJ and $20,000 to Unity: Journalists of Color.

"In vast sections of the country, there would not be a lawn mowed or a dish washed but for illegal immigrants," said Rivera. "I'm for not being embarrassed about who we are. If we make it, you can't forget where you come from."

(speakers they have welcomed without displaying incitive and hostile banners unvurled: Howard Dean,Al Gore,Hillary Clinton,John McCain, Sec.Robert Rubin, Ralph Nader. Behind this organized attack on the Minutemen were and the CAN (Campus Antiwar Network) whose stategy is:
*Students endorse emergency walkouts in the
event of an attack on Iran

*Support for the immigrant's rights protests and
a committment to show the connections
between xenophobia, war, military recruitment
and oppression of immigrants

Geraldo has been a left-leaning sycophant from the get-go. Only one who is more syrupy sweet 'liberal' apologist is Larry King. By weaseling his way into the imbedded journalists in Iraq was he able to re establish himself as a journalist who would be 'showcased' on FOX.
He would be at home with - antiwar veterans and military families at the camp in Crawford, Texas .... and characterizing the Minutemen as vigilantes is typical of his (undercover) leftist leanings. By coining the phrase that our great leader, GWB, used inappropriately (and for PC rewards)he aligns himself with the open borders junta.
