I've never tried it, but I read somewhere that if ya blow air through the water (like with a straw) it drives off the free chlorine and cuts the taste.

Boiling the chlorinated -bleached - water does work, though.

It's a very small amount, something like a drop per gallon and you don't drink it right away, you wait something like an hour before drinking. Water from your tap has been treated with chlorine - same thing as in bleach.
