LOL... The accomplishment of attaining the Eagle Award still makes my life better even today. 1st day in basic training I had an old NCO ask if anyone was an Eagle Scout. I raised my paw and leadership opportunities prevail to this day because of the basics learned in scouting.

Of all my military awards and decorations, life accomplishments , goals attained etc ....The Eagle rank meant the most to me as it was something my Father and Mother helped me with.

I've never regretted making Eagle Scout. My dad made Eagle as well. He earned 42 merit badges...just to double the minimum required tally of 21. The practical life skills and leadership skills are a perpetual value. My dad set the example. My mom is the one who burned lots of gas and time supporting runs to merit badge counselors and endless hours at Balboa Scout camp to support earning the lifesaving and nature merit badges.
