My first car was almost a Studebaker. Can't recall the model but I think it was a hawk. Someone had installed a studebaker V-8 in it although it came with a 6.

Daddy tried it out for a day and we discovered the clutch was slipping. The dealer would fix it but not for the same price so we passed on it.

This Lark came with the big V-8 (the police engine). It came with a Holley 4bbl, but our genius mechanic put a Maserati fuel injector on it.

That big motor just purrs.

I don't understand why so many are down on the .22 magnum. It is an excellent round, at least out of a rifle.

If I could only own one gun, it would probably be a .22 LR with the possible exception of a shotgun, but the .22 mag is useful for a lot of medium sized game and even for self defense. It has more than twice the energy of the .22LR and about the same as a .45 auto.

I have noted in killing varmints and feral animals that it is much quicker to kill than a regular .22 when shot in the body.
