One problem that I see is that the urban poor tend to eat McDonalds for every meal instead of shopping for food and actually cooking meals.

You know, articles like these are just poppycock and do nothing but make good people mad, that's all.

It's free to jog down the street to get exercise, and healthy eating can easily be attained. Whatever happened to buying a can of chicken broth (or cut-up chicken), vegetables, mix with salt and pepper, and throw it in a big old crockpot which will feed a dozen people and probably cost under $10.

When I was a kid we were poor so going to McDonalds was a rare treat like going to a fancy resturant. We only had two black and white TV channels and no video games so I got exercize.

Well, first you had to have a mom that ACTUALLY knew HOW to cook and not just open a can.

Then they would have to dragged their Fat A$$ from the couch for thirty minutes to do it.
