I love how FR 'event threads' like this bring out folks true colors.

Liberals are out for blood and they will do anything.

You know, I have no idea if Delay is guilty of something or not. I do think that if Gore can do what he did then there is little Delay could have done in this context that I would think deserves punishment. And it really STINKS when the media cover for the Democrats yet investigate to the nth degree anyone who is not a liberal. If Delay were a liberal the media would be parading out a long list of excuses until they found one that stuck. Truth is not their obstacle.

Why does anyone want to become a politician? I suppose it's not so bad if you're a liberal and you are therefore entitled to lavish, unearned praise and protection from the national media. They're like a political mafia.

I find it a bit too hard to believe that BOTH Frist and Delay are as guilty as the left claims. Heep on that their accusations against Bush. These people are insane with hatred.

"Its the seriousness of the charge that matters here.

Oh HO, where have I heard those words before?? Better change that GOP in your name to DNC. You are hitting all the talking points.

I said they "generally" don't indict unless they think they have something. That's a fact. Indicting without good cause can sometimes smoke careers and be used against those doing the indicting.

Jeez, why go to the DUmmy site? You know they'll be capering about like demented turkeys, squawking and gobbling with joy.

Dunno about you, but I want to keep my breakfast down today.

For Democrats - indictments are a badge of honor. For Republicans indictments mean they're political toast.

My thoughts exactly!

Leaving this until Earle decides
to bring it to trial is a BIG
mistake on Delay's part.

I understand it is 99% political but the left is great at smear campaigns and will have a field day with this as they already hate Delay.

Delay needs to conduct business as usual and he needs to get a good PR Team together and force Earl's hand.

As for Frist. You make my point. according to you he is guilty until proved innocent. Just go hide in the corner until the dust settles and oh, don't bother to vote in 2006 because we probably won't win a single seat or manage to keep what we have....right?

Like I said, you make me sick.

You must be an idiot. Someone isn't guilty until a jury finds him guilty...only in a legal sense, but in the court of public opinion and in personal judgement one can be found guilty much earlier than it takes the process to run in the courts.

Let's try a little reverse logic on your position. Clinton was impeached, however he was never convicted. Does that mean he wasn't guilty to you? Or does that mean he just got off (pun intended).

Another example, the clintons were never indicted for campaign finance fraud/abuse; however, does that mean they are innocent?

Oh and another. Scott Peterson murdered his wife and unborn trial, but prior to his conviction were you claiming he's innocent or did you make up your mind based on the fact you heard.

Finally, did OJ murder his wife? By your logic it's not possible because he was found not guilty.

NOTE: to all that read this...this is in answer to the Frist charges not Delay.

As far as your need to keep personally attacking me, shows thy type of person you are...a bung holio.

Next step in this process is for the Republicans to acquiesce quietly and slink away with their tail between their legs

Truely amazing isn't it. Republican is merely accused and is forced to resign, Democrat is CONVICTED yet continues on with Business as usual. We really are the stupid party some days
