He should ask for a "Court appointed special advocate"...then mention that the mother has psychological problems, and he would gladly submit to the same psych exam he is suggesting for her.
Keeping in mind that his psych exam would show the stress of the last month, but that it should also show that it is related to the sudden disappearance of his children. Mine showed a slight personality disorder with depression- specific (...which means "there is a reason for it")...his came back with a higher level of personality disorder-non specific.

A prayer, and encouragement: the fact that she absconded with the kids makes it likely the court will issue a "pick up order" to at least bring her back to the jurisdiction, at which time things can be sorted out.
Keep us posted, we'll be hoping for good news later today!

I've seen/heard too many terrible divorce with children stories not to, especially for family of a Freeper. Do let us know how things turn out...I will definitely post an update when I know something. My Dad was greatly comforted knowing that so many people from so many different places have taken the time to petition the Lord on behalf of the children. He will tell my brother as soon as he can.
